Scientist I - (LC/MS)- Protein Biochemistry at CSL Limited in Cambridge, MA

Job Summary This position is responsible to develop LC/MS based methods to characterize peptides. The ideal candidate would quantify protein expression levels using mass spectrometry techniques. Major Responsibilities Conduct biophysical/chemical methods for protein characterization Develop mass spectrometry-based assays for quantification of proteins in the biological fluids Develop MS-based assays for characterization of peptides Support maintaining and documenting protocols for the mass spectrometry instruments Collaborate across departments to identify and meet the proteomics need Documentation and presentation of scientific results Write experimental protocols and prepare internal reports. Maintain lab notebooks. Collaborate with project teams, present research results and contribute to technical advancements and publications. Lab management Maintain functional laboratory equipment and follow HSE regulation. Other job duties that may be assigned from time to time Support other functions and other divisions when needed. Minimum Requirements:
M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/bio/chemical engineering or related biological sciences. MS with 0-2 years or PhD with experience in academic or pharmaceutical/biotech experience in biochemistry. Experience with chromatography techniques (RP), and the development of processes for characterization of peptides based on LC/MS/MS is required Organizational, written and oral communication skills and ability to work in teams is required Preferred Requirements Experience with quantitative proteomics based on isotopically-labelled-peptides is preferred Experience with post-acquisition data analysis software and statistical analysis of mass spectrometry data is preferred Desire to work under a collaborative and fast pace environment is preferred.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
