The Community Health Data Specialist serves as a technical resource by managing the operational activities of the Community Health team involving data management and analytics.Under the guidance of the System Director, Community Health Impact, the Specialist will coordinate the implementation of outcomes and impact measurement for community health programs. This technical role will involve acquiring, structuring, and enabling data so that it can be used in both reports and analysis. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Coordinates acquiring, structuring, and enabling internal and external data so that it can be used in both reports and analysis Responsible for managing the operational activities supporting the Community Health team's data and analytics, including maintenance of data dashboards Advises on the development and deployment of analytical tools to enhance overall operational performance, especially in support of evaluation initiatives Coordinates community health analytics requests with through other coordinated BSMH data Maintains subject matter expertise in external trends, tools, and methods related to data strategy Creates data visualization and supports creation of presentation of data for various internal and external audiences Supports the development and creation of reports (standardized, ad hoc, and system-level monitoring), and the evaluation of Community Health program performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) Staffs meetings and workgroups, creates summary documents, and maintains project records in support of the Community Health Department's data strategy This document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. LICENSING/CERTIFICATION None EDUCATION Bachelors of Arts or Science in Public Health, Math, Data Science, or related field (required) Masters of Science or Public Health, or related field (preferred) WORK EXPERIENCE 3 years' of experience managing datasets related to healthcare, health outcomes, or community health (preferred) 2 years' of experience working on programs related to health disparities (preferred) TRAINING None LANGUAGE None PATIENT POPULATION Not applicable to this position WORKING CONDITIONS Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. General office environment. May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights. May have periods of constant interruptions. Prolonged periods of working alone.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Database AdministrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
