Duties and
Responsibilities:
Negotiates business terms of vendor contracts on behalf of the stakeholders to include the writing of requests for proposal and contracts including collaboration with the Office of the General Counsel and University Strategic Procurement to manage legal risks of contractual agreements. Initiates outreach to Campus Services community in order to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in both leadership and operational roles; collaborates with stakeholders to conceive and implement strategic sourcing initiatives. Proactively identifies purchasing synergies across Campus Services in order to reduce costs and leverage buying power through supplier rationalization. Investigates business, contractual, and other relationship concerns raised by internal stakeholders in collaboration with vendors. Act as a liaison to implement and support the University's Supplier Diversity and Inclusion (SDI) Program and assists to identify qualified MWBE/SBE for the Campus Services community. Participates in the ongoing development of the University's eProcurement and Total Contract Management (TCM) systems in support of greater adoption, utilization of best practice purchasing behaviors and training. Ensures that contracts are maintained in TCM database. Drives innovation and the development of potential new suppliers and alternate sources; develops spend analytics, metrics, and other periodic purchasing reporting. Act as a resource and guides Campus Services business units to implement Harvard procurement policies, guidelines and contract templates and promotes consistent procurement policies and procedures across all Campus Services. Typical Core Duties Analyze purchasing patterns, define priorities for assigned category of goods and services, and develop opportunities for cost savings May function as subject matter expert or project lead for procurement Negotiate vendor contracts, and monitor contract compliance to ensure terms and conditions are being met Implement and monitor departmental procurement procedures, and may recommend changes and improvements Monitor procurement system(s) and identify and recommend upgrades and changes Research and report on industry trends and initiatives; investigate the targeted industry, its potential suppliers, and critical service factors Collaborate with management to develop initiatives and oversee the ongoing management of established partnerships Provide staff mentoring and training Ensure financial compliance with University policies and procedures and applicable legal rules and regulations Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required Minimum of 7 years' relevant work experience Additional Qualifications and Skills Strong analytical, written/verbal communication and project management skills. Ability to collaborate and influence business leaders to act on purchasing initiatives which optimize cost savings. Demonstrated track record of success leading supplier management programs across a range of services categories. Excellent organizational, analytical, time management skills. Self-motivated, takes initiative; ability to effectively organize, multi-task and prioritize a wide array of initiatives. Aptitude for innovation. High integrity and ethics.
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
ProcurementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
