Research Associate
Summary:
The Research Associate is responsible for the production of plasmid DNA, conducting routine molecular biology techniques, and other laboratory tasks.
Responsibilities:
Production of plasmid DNA to support transient recombinant protein expression.
Conducting routine molecular biology techniques including cell transformations, day cultures, bacterial cultures, RCA (Rolling Circle Amplification), and digestions.
Maintaining reagent and DNA inventory.
Operate and maintain automated liquid handlers for plasmid purification, as well as downstream QC applications like NGS and DNA normalizations.
Conducting routine DNA characterization and quality control testing using techniques such as gel electrophoresis, nanodrop, endotoxin testing, and preparation of samples for sequencing analysis (Sanger and NGS).
Maintaining daily work records in an organized electronic lab notebook.
The candidate should also be proficient in using an online database for inventory management.
Effectively communicating with team members to meet strict schedules and deadlines.
Qualifications:

S, in Biological/Life Sciences or Associate / Certificate in Biotechnology with a minimum of 2
years of relevant laboratory experience Production of plasmid DNA Conducting routine molecular biology techniques Maintaining reagent and DNA inventory Preferred:
Handling Automation Familiarity with NGS Nanopore Familiarity with Python Location:
