Technical Lead II, Frontend, Help Desk

The Team We're looking for a Frontend Technical Lead II for Hubspot's Help Desk/Conversations teams.
This person will be hands-on and close to the code (70% of your daily focus) while also having the opportunity to grow successful direct reports, and run productive teams (30% of your daily focus).
The Technical Lead oversees a single team and provides technical, product, and team level leadership to that team while working in partnership with the corresponding Frontend team.
This will be on a Mobile Help Desk team, no specific mobile experience required but an interest in working on mobile projects using react native is a nice to have.
We will look potentially to transition to native mobile tech in the future.
The HubSpot Conversations and Help Desk product groups is building a multi-channel communication platform that enables teams to communicate with prospects and customers in real-time.
We look to build an extensible platform that allows businesses to communicate wherever their audiences are, provide them with contextual information and insights, automate routine tasks, and decide what to act on next.

Have led an engineering team in a management capacity Wish to stay hands on in all technical aspects while leading a team of engineers and collaborating cross functionally with internal stakeholders Have a history of developing solutions to problems that have had an outsized impact on the organization's business goals Push technologies and best practices forward to improve the HubSpot ecosystem Regularly mentor and teach engineers in their areas of expertise Have a thirst for technical challenges with big data and distributed systems, we process billions of events per day with multiple petabyte datastores Demonstrate pragmatic decision making and problem-solving abilities As a Technical Lead at HubSpot, you'll do many things - many of which you likely already have experience executing.
In addition to technical ability for this position, we are looking for:
A bias for fixing problems with technology rather than process Passion for building reliable and scalable systems Someone who never accepts the status quo; we need engineers who can see beyond what we have, and towards what we can build, while maintaining an understanding about how to get there Proven ability to solve complicated technical problems and analyze tradeoffs with empathy for the developers We build all our products using a combination of React, Redux, ES6 and SASS.
We are looking for people who have:
Professional industry experience, ideally with JavaScript, or similar programming language Experienced with React framework Software Architecture skills - design and maintenance Experience in building and debugging performant user interfaces Experience building performant web applications Work you can look forward to:
Build out new features and perform maintenance on our custom application Improve onboarding and accessibility of report building to make it easier for people to use Construct complete web applications, primarily single-page apps written in JavaScript (React, ES6, Sass) Mentor junior engineers and assist them in growing their engineering skills.
Help verify the correctness of their work, as well as educate them on any gaps in their knowledge; Provide technical leadership and direction for team projects; Participate in code reviews; Carry out system testing and debugging; Liaise with team members to solve development issues; Design decisions with reliability, maintainability, usability, readability, performance, and scalability of the overall solution in mind.
Cash compensation range:

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot's bonus plan for eligible roles.
In addition to cash compensation, all HubSpotters are eligible to participate in HubSpot's equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs).
Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
