M-F Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Job DescriptionPREDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Political Science-MIT Governance Lab (MIT GOV/LAB), to support projects advancing the labs research agenda and mission.
MIT GOV/LAB (https:

org/) is a group of political scientists focusing on innovation in citizen engagement and government responsiveness.
Will assist with one or more research studies and be responsible for collaborating on projects related to trust, governance, innovation, and technology in government in the Global South; work with research scientists on all research study components, including literature review, research design, data collection, data analysis, and drafting of reports, briefs and academic papers for publication via internal and external channels; work with the lab team on drafting and producing written communications for public-facing audiences, including blogs for the website, social media, and events; work with external designers on maintaining standards for the lab's visual identity and branding; support MIT GOV/LAB's mission and strategic development through interactions and representation at events with donors, partners, and high-level leaders in the field; support research and writing for grant applications; and perform additional responsibilities as determined by organizational needs.
Job RequirementsREQUIRED:
bachelor's degree in political science, economics, public policy, or related field social science field; two years of work experience; excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.
The position requires that the successful candidate obtain and maintain MIT IRB certification.
PREFERRED:
master's degree; quantitative methods training and experience in R, Python, or Stata; research experience with citizen engagement, government accountability, public trust, misinformation and polarization, governance innovation, or related area and/or expertise in developing country contexts; and experience with In Design or other design software.

$60,000-$70,000This position is hybrid, with a blend of remote and on-campus work.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
