GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
We are seeking a creative and highly motivated Research Technician to join the Liu Lab.
This is a unique opportunity to work with Dr.
Sophia Liu, an Early Independence Fellow and Core Faculty at the Ragon Institute of Mass General, MIT, and Harvard.
The goal of the project is to understand B cell development in diseased and homeostatic contexts by developing a spatial transcriptomics method for studying B cells in tissues.
The person hired will work under the mentorship of Dr.
Sophia Liu and lead a project developing experimental and computational approaches.
The candidate will use spatial transcriptomics, microscopy, and sequencing methods, and be encouraged to design, analyze, and perform their own experiments.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, design, and carry out experiments with a team, including experiments involving next-generation sequencing, molecular biology, immunologic assays, microscopy, and flow cytometry.
Analyze data and present findings to others.
Maintain detailed documentation of the experimental work.
Ensure quality control of equipment, reagents and cellular components.
Read and interpret current literature to aid in experimental design.
Work closely within the group and with outside collaborators.
Maintain close communications with supervisors regarding progress.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Highly motivated and independent, with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Laboratory experience and proficiency with molecular biology preferred Computer experience including expertise with Microsoft Office programs is essential Experience with R, Python, and/or command line interface is prefered Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and weekends if needed EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in biology, computational biology, biological engineering, biophysics, or similar required.
EXPERIENCENew graduates with some lab experience (via coursework, internships, etc.
) will be considered for the Research Technician I position outlined above.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
