Director of HR, Tech Start-Up

Job SummaryOur client, a start-up technology company, is looking to hire their first Director of HR to lead talent & people operationsReporting into the COO, the Director will lead the overall talent strategy & execution as the company scales.
Specific Responsibilities include:
HR Strategy:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business objectives to attract, retain, and develop top talentProvide guidance and expertise on HR policies, practices, and programs that comply with federal and state laws and regulationsDevelop and maintain employee handbook.
Talent Acquisition:
Lead the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding of qualified candidates for various positions, ranging from engineering, product management, manufacturing and field operations and administrative rolesPartner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, conduct interviews, and negotiate offers to ensure that the best candidates are hiredDesign, manage and evolve overall talent acquisition process.
Employee Relations:
Establish and maintain positive employee relations by providing guidance and support on employee matters, managing employee performance and development, conducting investigations, and resolving employee conflicts or issues in a fair and consistent mannerDevelop and implement employee engagement initiatives to cultivate and strengthen Pickle Robot culture and enhance employee satisfaction and productivity.
Compensation and
Benefits:
Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and employee benefit plansMonitor industry trends and benchmarking data to ensure that our compensation and benefits packages are competitive and aligned with the market standards.
HR Compliance:
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and other applicable lawsDevelop and implement HR policies and procedures that promote compliance and mitigate risks associated with HR-related legal and regulatory matters.
Performance Management:
Develop and implement performance management programs, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and performance improvement plansProvide coaching and feedback to managers and employees to enhance performance, productivity, and employee development.
Training and Development:
Identify and address training and development needs for employees at all levels to support their growth and developmentCollaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to design and deliver training programs that enhance employees' skills, knowledge, and capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
7-10 years of HR experience, including a blend of talent and people operations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
