Software Engineer II

We are looking for a Software Engineer II to work on solutions that protect Microsoft services against cyberattacks.
This candidate will love to think like an attacker, deeply understanding how systems get compromised, and then applying data analysis and software engineering to find ways of catching those attacks.

Required/Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2
years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experienceOther Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafterAdditional or Preferred
Qualifications:

is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
