Job Description:
Our client is seeking a capable laboratory researcher to assist staff with molecular and cell biology experiments. This is a contract position expected to be 1-2 years in duration, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent position depending on future sponsor funding and the candidate?s performance. The position requires demonstrated expertise with PCR, cloning into DNA vectors, E. coli manipulation, protein production and purification, western blots, and mammalian tissue culture. The candidate will also be expected to analyze and interpret data, keep detailed written records of experiments, format results for presentations and papers, and order laboratory supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
BA/BS or MS in biology or a related discipline.
Relevant laboratory experience and good organizational and communication skills are a must.
It is expected that the candidate will be very detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently.
Candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
