Product Specialist

Company Name:
Digital Science
We're seeking an individual with hands-on laboratory bench research experience. The ideal candidate will know the ins and outs of doing research in a wet lab on a daily basis, and be pretty familiar with what the lab safety/EHS folks do (and why).

The Product Specialist will be a technical product expert with the BioRAFT software platform and safety and compliance modules. This means that the individual in this position will become a know-it-all about the features of our software.
You will learn about potential customers' workflows and needs and to work with their teams to help them understand how BioRAFT works and the features it offers through having discussions and giving demos. There are aspects of sales management to this job, but that's for purposes of providing a great experience for potential customers and to stay well organized.
This position is responsible for product planning and development support. Throughout interactions with potential customers, the Product Specialist will learn a whole lot about what different research institutions and companies are doing, what works and what doesn't surrounding laboratory safety and regulatory compliance. The responsibility is to work with the product planning and development teams to take this knowledge and continually enhance the system to make sure it stays the best.
The role is multi-faceted, and requires a mixture of problem solving, good communication, presentation, and time management skills. Anyone who applies for this position should have the ability to work well in a tight knit team and have a firm grasp on software approaches to problem solving.

A little about BioRAFT

BioRAFT's continual aim is to streamline laboratory safety and regulatory compliance management to increase safety and productivity, and decrease costs, hassle, and risk. Our ability to make this aim a reality begins with our intimate knowledge of laboratories, research center management, health and safety workflows, and proper software design.
