HOT new Cambridge Start-Up seeking Director, Purification Biologics to join their growing and dynamic team! This role will be responsible for building and leading the purification and process development team that will drive their research and development strategy. Specifically responsible for the following but not limited to:
Develop robust and scalable purification process capabilities to inform the company's research and development strategy in support of product development.
Provide hands-on direction for downstream process development, process optimization with improved quality indicators.
Support and/or lead process tech transfer and scale-up for cGMP manufacturing.
Guide the purification and process development team to evaluate the practical application of novel downstream processes to enhance product recovery, quality and efficiency.
Provide reports and prepare scientific presentations as needed. Write and revise SOPs and technical reports.
Exercise independent judgment in the evaluation, analysis and development of new methods, techniques and protocols.
Requirements:
PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related discipline with 6
years OR MS with 8
years of industry experience.
Experience in biologics purification research and process development (must have pre-clinical or clinical experience within biologic drug product development).
Experience leading and managing a scientific team.
