About the Job
We are looking for an innovation-driven and motivated senior security architect to provide expertise on a number of new project initiatives within the Emerging Products business unit. The candidate will interact with several groups of development, test, product management and customer-facing teams to define and design the security needs of projects. The candidate will also have close working interactions with security teams and experts across the company to validate designs and ensure compliance with security policies.

You will be an integral part of a highly skilled team of engineers responsible for the design and development of Akamai's next-generation networking product line. The team works on new and emerging products in an innovation centric, fast pace and collaborative environment. Responsibilities
Architect and design security aspects of several new and emerging products in networking, WAN, traffic acceleration and mobile services.
Investigate security vulnerabilities and compliance of new and existing products and collaborate to define solutions, resolve the vulnerabilities, conduct security reviews and get product security clearance from security review boards.
Collaborate with several engineering teams to define the security aspects of emerging products.
Interact with security architects and teams across the company to ensure proper implementation of company security policies within the emerging products.
Work with product management and customer-facing teams to determine and prioritize requirements.
Provide technical leadership across engineering to ensure product development is smooth, evolving design as needed.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field.
Minimum 10 years of industry experience and Minimum 4 years experience working on security architecture and design for products.
Minimum 3 years' experience in technologies, processes, and concepts such as symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, IPSec, TLS, Authentication and Authorization.
5 years' experience with security aspects of Cloud-Based SaaS products.
5 years' experience applying of application attacks and defenses.
Desired Qualifications
Ability to build consensus across business and technical groups.
Experience with industry standard authentication and authorization approaches like SAML and OAuth.
Experience with design and development of scalable, mission critical or high-availability systems.
Expertise in security related Internet protocols such as IPSec, SSL/TLS and familiarity with common Internet protocols such as IP, TCP, UDP, RTP, DNS, HTTP, SIP.
Fluent and familiar with all phases of product life cycle from definition, design, development and test to deployment, field support and end of life.
Creative and innovation-driven mindset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Successful completion of security challenges or CTFs such as those on , OWASP's Web Goat, or Google's Gruyere.
Some knowledge of Systems-Theoretic Accident Modeling and Processes (STAMP)
Deep understanding and experience with networking technologies from the link layer to the application layer.
Experience with network systems in an enterprise environment, Application Acceleration or WAN Optimization space.
Broad understanding of systems and application technologies.
Experience in software development and systems-level programming in C, C+
or Java.
