Job Details:
Performs preventative, standard and repair maintenance on process equipment and utility equipment, such as, bioreactors, water and CIP systems, pumps, agitators, gearboxes, bearing replacements and all mechanical equipment repairs. Often assigned to design and come up with creative solutions to small projects and redesigns on troublesome components and systems.
Assist in training all of the mechanics when required and serves as a lead technician in providing troubleshooting expertise for autoclaves, glass-washers and other support equipment and off hours on-call maintenance coverage as needed by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities:
Follows SOP's in performance of assigned duties.
Completes all assigned corrective work orders and PM;s.
Performs teardowns and repairs on pumps, agitators, motors and gearboxes.
Performs small projects as assigned by maintenance supervisor.
Assesses equipment spare part needs and generates spare part lists.
Works with outside vendors and contractors to repair equipment.
Collaborates with responsible engineers to troubleshoot equipment problems.
Troubleshoots equipment problems and implements corrective actions.
Required Skills:
A minimum of 5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to present information in front of a group of people.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Ability to work under short timelines within a manufacturing environment.
Team Oriented.
Ability to work rotating shifts, extended shifts and/or weekends.
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma with twelve (12) years prior industry experience OR
Associate of Arts degree with eight (8) years of experience OR
Bachelor's Degree with five (5) years of experience.
