Senior Platform Software Engineer

Company Name:
Analog Devices
Description:
Us: Analog Garage is a small 30-person startup within a large corporation (ADI), and were building some amazing hardware and software products that matter. Were currently working on hardware accelerated statistical inference, mixed signal semiconductor design, and machine learning algorithms for fast audio processing. Were looking for an engineer to help join our cloud development team at the ground level, focused on building a distributed computation service to process millions of transactions per day at sub-second latency across a distributed system to improve consumers' interactions with their devices. We iterate, we collaborate and we learn and so will you.
You: Youll be working with a group of pythonistas and Node.js devs and youll be joining them at a great time! Our engineering team is still small enough that we feel like a quasi-elite task force, but we have enough financial backing through ADI to really make a difference in our target market. As our newest engineering hire, youll have a powerful opportunity to really shape our strategy for deploying a large-scale, low latency, distributed cloud hosted service. We encourage you to partake in any part of the stack where youre comfortable, and to move around and learn new technologies as you grow with us!
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be well versed in the following:
The kind of knowledge usually obtained in MS or PhD in Computer Science (or a related degree) or related experience
Software architecture and development in python and/or Node.js
Amazon's AWS stack. Knowledge of distributed computation frameworks (such as Hadoop, Spark or Storm) is a plus
Prototyping and deploying large scale cloud services
Machine learning (this would really be a plus)

Youll tackle daunting problems with amazingly talented co-workers who also happen to be down to earth and a lot of fun. We work hard together, we laugh a lot, we perpetually brainstorm, and we're very flexible. We want you to feel like every member of the team is someone youre excited to work with (almost) every day!
Apply by sending in a resume and/or cover letter, and please include an online portfolio (Github, LinkedIn etc.) if you have one! Also, if you have projects that you feel will show you in a unique light please pass them along.
