Our client, located in Cambridge, MA is seeking a high-energy, self-directed Contract Network Engineer to work closely with its System Architect on intriguing system architecture design, rapid prototyping beta products using the latest tools.
Responsible for implementing new Host-to-Host VPN connections using the Strongswan implementation of IPSec. Troubleshoot, analyze and support network related issues for existing connections. Document network architecture. Support a small office VPN set-up, as needed.
Must have a Bachelors degree, CCNA or equivalent, outstanding communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work with diverse teams in different time zones.
Technical skills required: Familiarity with Linux command line, networking and tooling (BASH, IPsec, IPtables, Strongswan, tcpdump, TCP/IP). Experience working with and implementing host-to-host VPN tunnels using various forms of encryption. Have your own computer and the ability to SSH to Linux based servers. Familiarity with SMPP protocols.
This is a contractor role on a 1099 requiring flexible hours, averaging around three per week. The majority of work can be done remotely; however, on occasion your presence is required in the office in Cambridge, MA. Local candidates only. Competitive hourly rate. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
