We are looking for an engineer to join the growing security team at EF! We are growing our security team and we're looking for a trustworthy, hard-working, self-starter with a genuine interest in not only cyber security, but technology as a whole!
The Role
Are you a technologist and a people person? Are you interested in learning about new aspects of information technology such as cloud computing and next-gen anti-virus? Do you like fast-paced projects and learning new tools regularly? Do you fancy the idea of forging your own path and learning about areas of business outside security?
In this role you will have unique exposure to many different aspects of cyber security and business. You will be helping to secure applications that service customers all over the world 24 hours a day. You will be responsible for maintaining and using existing security tools like AV, SIEM, and vulnerability management, along with investigating and recommending new tools.
You will be a front-to-back security professional that's using the tools you create for yourself, and responding to security events. This job will focus on automation and cloud computing, taking the human out of the process as much as possible. Collaboration with other technology teams such as Development and Systems Administration is a must, and therefore candidates must possess exceptional verbal communication skills.
Requirements
- 0-2 years working in a cyber-security or relevant technology position
- Bachelor's degree (not necessarily a technical one)
- Genuine interest in all aspects of technology and security
- Innovative personality, an eye for detail, and a heart for the big picture
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and a desire to tackle complex problems
- Superior communication skills and situational awareness
- High degree of integrity, honesty, and reliability
Preferred Experience
- Prior use or experience with Splunk
- Prior experience with vulnerability management tools such as Nexpose or Qualys
- Programming in Powershell or Python
- Experience with the use of API's

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
