About the Job:
TheCompensation Co-op will provide analytical information and data analysissupport for Akamai's Global Compensation team. The Compensation Co-opwill have the opportunity to have immediate exposure to real assignments whichwill draw on the co-op's ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and presentresults. These experiences will help build the intern's technical knowledge andoverall technology industry expertise.
Responsibilities May Include:
Providesprofessional consultation and guidance to internal clients regarding a varietyof compensation issues
Assists with the annual compensation cycle and salary planning process
Help internal clients including HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition toensure that Akamai's reward programs are competitive by performing competitivebenchmarking analyses
Administers salary programs by adding positions in HRIS system, reviews newposition levels to ensure alignment with corporate policy.
Participates in compensation surveys; performs market match validation,compiles and submits data to vendors
Perform industry total rewards research (base pay practices, incentive designapproaches, recognition plans, etc.).
Assists with preparing documents and exhibits presenting the team's analyticalwork to internal client base audiences.
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics or any other major with significant quantitative course work and returning to the program after completion of the co-op.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Qualifications:
Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
