Reporting to the Director of Corporate Brand and Creative, the Manager, Social & Digital Media will have the opportunity to be part of a small but growing team driving social media and brand communications for an innovative biotechnology company. From concept through execution, the Manager will develop strategies and content that bring our corporate brand and key messages to life across our social media channels and websites.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing integrated social media plans, editorial calendars and sourcing and creating social content, both written and multimedia, and updating/maintaining websites using content management systems. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have hands-on experience executing paid/promoted social media and paid search campaigns and developing measurement dashboards and reports. This individual will work with in-house and agency design resources and cross-functionally with various departments across the rapidly growing organization including commercial, medical affairs, human resources and others to determine potential audiences, best approaches and consistency. Prior experience developing content for patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals and corporate audiences is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities
This role will work directly with the Creative and Communications teams on strategies for digital/social campaigns and day-to-day activities. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Development of an overarching social media strategy for Alnylam including:
Audience identification
Channel plans
Editorial planning
KPIs/measures of success
Management of an Editorial Calendar that takes into account ongoing communications goals and key company/industry milestones
Content development working with Creative teams including post copy, images, animations, video, etc. Blogging and editorial writing experience is a plus
Day to day management of Alnylam's social media channels including Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Facebook including profile maintenance, publishing and monitoring
Ongoing updates to the company website using a content management system
Development and management of paid social media campaigns including strategy, targeting, content and execution in Twitter, LinkedIn and native
Management of paid search/Adwords campaigns including strategy, targeting and execution
Partnering with the commercial, HR, Medical Affairs team to serve as an in-house expert on social strategies they may be considering to promote their efforts
Social listening for Alnylam and competitive analysis, trends and influencers
Updating of social media guidelines and best practices; internal education on safe use of social media
Monitoring trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy to ensure that Alnylam is always current on what's new and next
Development of measurement strategies and regular reports
Analyzing campaigns and translating anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising campaigns
Qualifications:
PR/Marketing/Communications/Journalism degree/background preferred
3-5 years proven work experience in social media
1-2 years proven work experience with paid search/Adwords
Experience in biotech or healthcare required, either in industry or at an agency
Familiarity with FDA guidance governing use of social media and related best practices strongly preferred
Experience using Google Analytics required
Experience developing content for both patients and HCPs is a plus
Proficient and compelling writer with the ability to target content to applicable audiences
Fantastic internal and external communication/people skills
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple campaigns
Willingness to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, and team-oriented environment
Comfortable with Excel, Word, Power Point
Experience using social media management platforms (Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Spreadfast, etc.) is a plus
Experience using social listening tools (Radian6, Brandwatch, Talkwalker, etc.) is a plus
Confident in learning new social media platforms and software
Attention to detail with accuracy and consistency
Resourceful and proactive with the ability to troubleshoot and set priorities

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
