MartinLogan Vantage Electrostatic Speakers (Gently Used) for sale in Cambridge, MA
For sale is my beloved matched pair of MartinLogan Vantage loudspeakers, working beautifully and finished in black ash. Serial numbers 012 and 013! These have been my main speakers for several years, and I cannot speak highly enough of them. I'm selling now as I've just upgraded and no longer have room for them. The electrostatic panel provides the signature MartinLogan smoothness and immediacy, and the powered 8-inch woofers pump out some major bass. The 200-watt built-in woofer amplifiers enable these to be used with low-power amps (in my case, a 30-watt-per-channel Class A stereo amp). Condition: I think they are very beautiful, and they have always been treated gently. There are however minor signs of use--small dings in the woofer cabinets, some rubbing/discoloration (for example, on the silver paint on the "M" logo), so I would not consider them mint. See photos for details. The speakers function very well and all drivers are in excellent condition. Please just understand that like all electrostatic loudspeakers, they do make the occasional small popping noise when there's dust on the panel, and as a result the panels require periodic vacuuming. These have only ever been used in a non-smoking household. I do not have the original boxes, so I prefer local pickup in the Boston, MA area (demo welcome). If you do want them shipped, you will need to coordinate with a freight service. I can help facilitate the pickup. Includes 2 IEC power cables. Not sure if they are original but they certainly get the job done.
